THE BLACK WATER EP (English below)

Christoph Trummer: Voc, Git (Trummer, Amarillo Brillo)
Simon Rupp: Gitarre (Katzenheim, Annakin uva.)
Robert Aeberhard: Bass, Voc (Fitzgerald & Rimini, Martina Linn, dadaad – an open tuning, uva)
Christoph Steiner: Drums, Voc (Hildegard lernt fliegen, Escape Argot uva)

Voice, two guitars, bass, drums – and songs that tell a story, arrangements that get to the point and sometimes let the reins loose at the right moment: The timeless recipe for suspenseful rock music that hits both heart and brain. The quartet Vincent Vegas Last Dance released their first songs in 2020, instantly earning thousands of streams on international rock playlists – and then, well, … a pandemic. As a result, their second album is ready to go before most people know about the first.

The debut YOUTH & DEATH was based on the sound of the 1990s, when the band members were teenagers. The follow-up will be released as two EPs, starting with „The BLACK WATER EP“. Alternative guitar rock remains the formula, but the musicians‘ diverse backgrounds are increasingly taking their space: post-rock, noise soundtracks, improvised music and singer-songwriting.
The lyrics track protagonists in upheaval. They stumble over their own feet with their eyes wide open, but the music keeps driving them, catching them, lets them reflect – there are no excuses, the truth must be faced.

„The MORNING RAIN EP“ will follow later, but first the band will perform a release show in the Sägegasshalle in Burgdorf on 3.5.2024.

Christoph Trummer: Voc, Guit (Trummer, Amarillo Brillo)
Simon Rupp: Guitar (Katzenheim, Annakin and many more)
Robert Aeberhard: Bass, Voc (Fitzgerald & Rimini, Martina Linn, dadaad – an open tuning, uva)
Christoph Steiner: Drums, Voc (Hildegard lernt fliegen, Escape Argot uva)

2021: Info YOUTH & DEATH

Swiss Alternative quartett Vincent Vegas Last Dance play rejuvenating guitar rock. They started off as a trio, a wild side-project playing free-rock all the way back in 2005.

2019 was the year they added a second guitarist and decided to finally committ their take on alternative guitar  music to tape : they recorded 12 songs in two days and started preparing for tour.

The resulting EPs YOUTH EP and DEATH EP combine songs about an all too sudden farewell to youth. Singer and guitarist Chris Trummer dug up songs he had written in the rebellious years before and after his parents‘ deaths.

The band members each bring in the their rich experiences from many years on the road: Singer/Guitarist Chris Trummer is a well established singer/songwriter in swiss german under his family name. Bassist Robert Aeberhard has played in many bands and is best known for his experimental work with the spoken word / music act Fitzgerald & Rimini. Guitarist Simon Rupp has provided bands like Roamer and Matto Rules with his fine taste for noisy but melodic playing. And finally, Christoph Steiner on drums tours all over the world with the utterly original jazzband Hildegard lernt fliegen and his own project Escape Argot.

Now they have joined forces for their take on a timeless guitar rock formula, recalling the 90ies, the Golden Age of Alternative Rock. Unexpected breaks, fuzzy eruptions, and every now and then, the tempo slows down and allows the songs to bathe in psychedelic melancholy. Despite the high voltage, this music is based on songs that wouldn’t lack anything in purely acoustic versions.

Christoph Trummer: Voc, Git (Trummer, Amarillo Brillo)
Simon Rupp: Git (Roamer, Franky Silence & Ghost Orchestra, Fitzgerald & Rimini)
Robert Aeberhard: Bass, Voc (Fitzgerald & Rimini, Trummer)
Christoph Steiner: Drums, Voc (Hildegard lernt fliegen, Escape Argot)
